TMC receives compressed air system for "Hilli" FLNG

Recently, international compressor supplier Tamrotor Marine Compressors (TMC) of Norway received a contract from Golar LNG to supply compressed air system for the "Hilli" FLNG, but did not disclose the contract amount.

TMC's supply range includes the manufacture and delivery of seven 365 kW air compressors that will be installed on the "Hilli" FLNG vessel, which will operate in Cameroon, West Africa. This compressed air system will help Golar LNG reduce energy costs and harmful emissions.
It is reported that the "Hilli" floating liquefied natural gas carrier (FLNG) was converted from a 125,000 cubic meter LNG ship at the Keppel Shipyard in Singapore and is expected to be invested in the Kribi offshore oil and gas field in Cameroon, West Africa later in 2017. Commercial Operation.
According to a fee agreement between Golar LNG and Cameroon's state-owned oil and gas company Société Nationale des Hydrocarbures and Perenco Cameroon, Golar LNG will serve as an upstream joint venture partner to provide liquefaction, storage and offload services. The Kribi offshore oil and gas field is expected to produce 1.2 million tons of LNG per year for a production period of approximately eight years.
