Siyale launches affordable New Thermometer

On November 15, 2011, Siyale Meter's new chlorine traction control system TM760S thermal flow meter is specifically designed to perform as a measurement solution for accurate and cost-effective large-scale flow injection of chlorine in wastewater treatment applications.

Due to the corrosive nature of chlorine (especially in the presence of moisture), finding an economical measurement solution has constituted a huge challenge for the industry. To answer this challenge, Siyaler designed and manufactured Kynar® polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) fluids. This material has excellent corrosion resistance at room temperature and high temperature and chemical resistance. PVDF is inherently stable, mechanically tough, abrasion resistant and flame retardant.

The 760S offers a full-scale accuracy of +-5%, flow rates up to 300 SCFM in 4" of Kynar® fluid and outstanding chlorine within the range of 100:1. The instrument's flow sensor utilizes 6" Hastelloy ® C-127 Probe and 1” Swagelok® Hastelloy® NPT Compression Fittings Hastelloy® C-127 Sensor, Kynar® PVDF Fluid for Teammates, Hastelloy C, Particularly Pitting Resistant Corrosion and crevice corrosion are widely used in the most corrosive environments.

Sierra's 760S also offers a digital display of instantaneous and cumulative flow, and easy PLC/data acquisition integration and analog 4-20mA output digital MODBUS RTU options. Sierra's Smart InterfaceTM software provides users with the ability to fully validate instrument performance and adjust in the field of critical flow metering settings.
