With the basic completion of the infrastructure project, the next project expert group will carry out the technical research on the assembly and debugging of the 5S60MC-C diesel engine, including: assembly and debugging technology of the piston, crosshead and connecting rod assembly, assembly and exhaust system of the intake and exhaust system. Timing adjustment technology, crankshaft assembly and debugging technology, combustion process, vibration noise and reliability analysis will establish a complete set of high-power low-speed marine diesel engine testing technology and test system. It is expected that all projects will be completed in November 2010. The first machine will be finalized at the end of 2010 and will be delivered for commissioning.

The research of this technology will fill the technical gap of the province's supporting industry in this ship, and it is consistent with the ultimate goal of the development of the national shipbuilding industry. After the completion of the project, Zhoushan Zhongji Diesel Engine Manufacturing Co., Ltd. will have an annual delivery capacity of 80 Danish Mann (MAN) marine main engines, with a production capacity of 1.5 million horsepower, which can be 30,000 tons to 400,000 tons for each major shipyard in Zhoushan City. Class ships provide quality mainframes to further promote the development of the shipbuilding industry in our city.
