Bosch signs agreement with Hyundai to jointly develop power and entertainment systems

German auto parts Bosch Group and Hyundai Motors recently signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop electronic power control systems and infotainment systems.

Modern and Bosch will accelerate the development of new powertrains and IT equipment based on modern technology and the Bosch platform. The two sides have cooperated in engine development for more than 20 years.

Li Xuanzheng, vice chairman of the modern R&D center, said that the cooperation between the two parties will bring new developments to the infotainment system and power system. Hyundai recently started production of the Solaris four-door model at its plant in St. Petersburg, Germany. In 2010, Hyundai Motors sold 3.6 million vehicles worldwide.

Bosch is a technology and service provider in the fields of automotive and construction. It has more than 300 subsidiaries in 60 countries. Bosch sold more than 46 billion euros in 2009.
