Abstract: This article describes the successful application of the Quartet V560 series frequency converter on a batching machine. The program effectively improves the system's batching accuracy and automation, and thus improves product quality and production efficiency.

The batching machine is widely used in industries such as cement, mining, metallurgy, and agricultural product processing. In its production process, the weighing requirements for powder conveying, flow, and powder ingredients are relatively strict, otherwise it will seriously affect the stability of product quality. Therefore, the realization of high-precision automatic batching is of great importance to the production of industrial enterprises. The original batching system often uses the analog circuit to control the slip speed motor to control the speed. Due to the poor characteristics of the slip motor speed at low speed, the efficiency is low, the external working environment is very bad, and the process dust is very large. These dusts can easily enter the inside of the slip motor and cause wear, jams, etc., causing a lot of work failures, troublesome maintenance and maintenance, and affecting normal production. This article proposes to introduce a four-party V560 inverter-driven induction motor for speed control of the dosing system to improve the equipment's dosing accuracy and operational stability.
First, the process introduced
Commonly used in the enterprise is the belt weigher automatic batching system. Its structural form is one of the most basic and most widely used belt batching systems. The main components are as shown in Figure 1 below.

The main work flow is: After the silo is opened, the material falls on the corresponding belt, the belt motor drags the belt to rotate, then the material is continuously pulled out, and the rotation speed of the belt motor determines the flow of the material. Under each belt there is an automatic weighing belt scale, through the belt scale can be called out the flow of material, cumulative amount and other data. Underneath all belts is a main conveyor belt, the main role is to send the mixed material to the lower container.
Second, the system program introduced
For the field control and process requirements of the batching machine, the following system control scheme was designed using high-level machines, inverters, on-site instrumentation, and other devices with high intelligence and high processing speed. The main components are shown in Figure 2:
The flow of each material required for system production is given by the upper computer (computer control system) and transmitted to the inverter via the RS485 network;
The instantaneous flow of each material is measured by the load cell and fed back to the inverter;
The internal software of the frequency converter integrates PID flow control and batching calculation algorithm optimized for belt scales and screw scales. Through the flow setting and feedback, the output frequency of the frequency converter is adjusted to control the speed of the conveyor belt, and the precise control of the feed flow is automatically achieved. Third, the program features
The inverter exchanges information with the host computer through communication, which facilitates real-time monitoring of the batching site. The system has a high degree of automation, saves labor and improves production efficiency.
It has various protection and alarm functions such as incoming material blocking, missing material detection and equipment failure, etc. The system is highly stable, and at the same time, it is convenient for operators to quickly troubleshoot and reduce the workload of equipment maintenance.
The high precision of system dosing, the accuracy of flow control is less than 1%, the cumulative error of measurement is less than or equal to 3%, and the product quality is effectively improved.
Spiral batching mode and belt batching mode are optional to meet the control requirements of different batching machines.

Conclusion
This article introduced a scheme of a batcher control system based on the Quartet V560 series frequency converter. The program has a high degree of automation, accurate control of the flow of ingredients, meets the harsh environment of the equipment operation, effectively improves product quality and production efficiency, and the equipment operates stably. It has been successfully applied to the control system of multiple batching machines.
